- NBCSN state liaisons are NCSNs (Nationally Certified School Nurse) who
have offered to help the NBCSN (National Board for Certification of
School Nurses) spread the word about the value of certification.
- Each state/region may be represented by one or two liaisons.
|
|

- Persons desiring to become a liaison are asked to send a letter of
interest to the NBCSN Vice-President.
- Liaisons are selected to represent different regions of their state.

|
- NCSN liaisons are appointed by the NBCSN to share certification
information between their state or region and NBCSN
- Serve as a resource person on certification at the state level
|
|

|
- Participate in state activities with NBCSN information promoting
certification
- Send written report to NBCSN
- Vice President regarding activities
- on a yearly basis (prior to the annual
- meeting).

|

|
- A liaison who participates in a state or regional conference may apply
to NBCSN to be a vendor.
- A banner, bulletin board, pens, brochures can be sent to the liaison for
promoting the certification exam.
- If the liaison gives up conference time to ‘man’ the table he/she is
eligible for an honorarium.

- Submit articles on certification to State newsletter
- Have a liaison seat on State School Nurse Association Board
- Form study groups to help nurses who are going to sit for the exam

- Submit photos of promotional activities to NBCSN newsletter editor for
publication
- Develop state level activities to
- obtain exam questions and submit to
- NBCSN
